THE LORD HAS NEED OF YOU!
✓ Luke 19:28-31 28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them. 30 “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
◦ Beginning of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
◦ Palm Sunday so many forms and facets of it being preached on: We can talk about Fulfillment, Hosanna, Praise and Worship, Alpha and Omega, The suffering servant, but this message is about the last verse…”The Lord has need of it!”
◦ The tied up COLT- no significance…the Lord has need of it.” It was something that was forgotten. The thing that has never been used and tied up.
◦ This is the very thing the Lord said I’m going to use.
◦ Loose it…it’s been tied up!
◦ This is Gods desire…Loose it from those ropes; I have need of it.
◦ Thing about our lives. It’s the ropes of bitterness, shame, the guilt of our lives.
◦ People question his need for the colt. People question the need for you today. Why would God need you? What use would He have for you?
◦ The Lord had need of the colt and He has need of you.
◦ God never leaves you the way He found you.
◦ We feel that insignificance. We feel that we are damaged goods and broken. What do you mean God has need of me?
◦ You’re the very person God is seeking out. He came for those that are sick and hurting.
✓ Mark 2:17 (NIV): “On hearing this, Jesus said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.’”
◦ We will break every limitation that held you back in Jesus name. There is liberty!
✓ 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” FREEDOM!
◦ He wants you and needs you!
✓ Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
✓ ***Mark Twain: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
✓ Acts 7:58 Dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young man named Saul.”
◦ Saul’s life took a U~turn and his life was changed by his one decision.
✓ Acts 9:3-6, Saul is struck by a blinding light and hears Jesus’ voice:“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
◦ It’s an encounter that will change the rest of your life!
◦ THAT IS WHY WE PRAY HERE AT IMPACT! We believe He still does miracles. It’s that One decision you make!
◦ Most valuable commodity is TIME not MONEY!
◦ People here at Impact are committed because they believe God can change lives.

◦ When Saul was marching down that road he didn’t know what was down deep INSIDE HIM. Is it possible that there is so much more in YOU than what your family history tells?
